Theme Park Report

Eligible Disney Vacation Club Members will have an opportunity to stay at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge before the resort opens to the general public through a new “First Wave” preview experience, according to BlogMickey. The Member-exclusive package is scheduled for June 24 through 27, 2027, and includes a four-day, three-night stay at the resort on the shores of Bay Lake. Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is scheduled to officially open on July 1, 2027. The package includes a three-day Walt Disney World theme park ticket with the Park Hopper option for each guest age 3 and older. Dining included in the experience consists of one dinner at Moonglade, Lakeshore Lodge’s lakefront table-service restaurant, along with breakfast at Pioneer Hall and dinner at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness. Guests age 3 and older will also receive a $200 Disney Dining Promo Card. Disney plans to add further curated event experiences and release a more detailed itinerary at a later time. The preview also includes behind-the-scenes information about the resort’s development and event-specific commemorative keepsakes. Accommodation pricing is based primarily on Reservation Points. The published totals range from 184 points for a Duo Studio to 532 points for a one-bedroom Lake House. Other options include studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom villas, and two-bedroom Lake Houses, with point requirements varying by accommodation and view. Guests beyond the first two in a room are subject to additional charges. An additional adult age 10 or older costs 68 Reservation Points or $1,349, while a child ages 3 through 9 costs 50 points or $999. The first two guests must be paid for with Reservation Points, and at least one must be the reservation’s primary or lead guest. Bookings open November 7, 2026, at 10 a.m. Eastern time, exclusively through Disney Vacation Club Member Services. Calls can be placed at (800) 800-9800 or (407) 566-3800; online booking, email, live chat, in-person bookings, and Member Lounges will not be accepted for the event. Eligibility is limited to Members who qualify for Membership Extras benefits. Resale buyers cannot use their Vacation Points for the preview, and eligible Membership Cards must include at least 150 Vacation Points purchased directly from Disney Vacation Development, LLC. Members may book up to two rooms per Membership, with full payment due at booking.
