Two new foreground set pieces have appeared inside Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT, adding visual elements to scenes that previously had no comparable props in front of their screens.
The additions follow Walt Disney World’s previously announced plan to install new props after the attraction was converted from 3D to 2D. BlogMickey reported that the props were spotted during a ride through the France Pavilion attraction on September 4, 2026. WDW News Today also reported that the new elements had been installed.
One of the props is located in the kitchen portion of the ride, after guests pass a large refrigerator. It depicts a box of uncooked pasta that has spilled across the floor in front of a screen showing chefs moving around the kitchen. WDW News Today described the element as a large box of spilled spaghetti, with guests passing beneath a counter near the scene.
The second addition appears in the finale. A cutting board now sits in front of the screen depicting Remy celebrating with the other rats. The board includes a piece of cheese, a wine cork, an upside-down teacup, and other kitchen-related items.
According to the reports, the props are designed to help blend the transition between the attraction’s physical sets and projected screens. Both spaces previously lacked foreground set dressing, making the new objects the first such additions to appear in those scenes after the 2D conversion.
Disney announced the conversion and planned follow-up work in 2025. BlogMickey reported that the announcement included new props and lighting enhancements for the queue and attraction. In May 2026, Walt Disney Imagineering filed a permit to install set elements at the address associated with Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. BlogMickey later reported in June that the camouflage props had not yet been installed.
The new design elements resemble additions already present in the Disneyland Paris version of the attraction, including similar spilled pasta and cutting-board details. It remains unclear whether additional props will be installed elsewhere in the EPCOT attraction or its queue.
