Slinky Dog Dash remained closed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a third consecutive day on September 2, 2026, as a ride vehicle was found stopped at the attraction’s second launch. WDW News Today reported that one of the coaster’s trains was visible on the track, while Cast Members could not provide a reason for the closure or a reopening date. The outlet said Cast Members expected the attraction to remain closed the following day. BlogMickey also reported seeing the vehicle during a visit to the park. Its report said the train appeared to be positioned farther back in the launch than where a vehicle would normally come to rest. An electrical panel was open nearby, but Disney had not confirmed that the panel was connected to the shutdown. BlogMickey described the vehicle’s position as consistent with a possible emergency stop, while emphasizing that Disney had not provided a cause for the downtime. The report also said the area did not appear to have active repair work underway during the site’s visit. The closure followed two earlier days without operation. According to BlogMickey’s timeline, Slinky Dog Dash did not operate on August 31, remained closed on September 1, and continued to be unavailable on September 2. Neither outlet reported a scheduled reopening date. While the attraction was closed, WDW News Today said Cast Members were entertaining guests on the sidewalk near the coaster with giant Pixar balls and hula hoops. Disney’s Hollywood Studios had not announced whether the ride would resume operation or explained what caused the extended closure.
