USJ LLC has entered preliminary discussions with Osaka City about the potential long-term lease of city-owned land in Sakurajima 2-chome, Konohana-ku, according to a statement reported by Blooloop.
The discussions follow Osaka City's September 1 announcement regarding the possible future use of the site. USJ LLC said it supports the city's tourism and economic development goals and wants to explore leasing the land.
The company also emphasized that the process remains at an early stage. USJ LLC said it respects Osaka City's evaluation process and that, beyond expressing its desire to investigate a potential lease, no other details have been finalized.
